The final day of the Wasa Open was played in beautiful summer weather with a large crowd in attendance. The number one seed Martin Damm started strongly and took a convincing 5–2 lead with two breaks, but Millen Hurrion fought back to level the score at 5–5, but Damm eventually took the first set 7–5. The second set went to Hurrion with a score of 6–4. At the beginning of the third set, Hurrion already took a 3–0 lead, but Damm tied the score at 3–3, after which the match progressed without losing a serve to 5–5. In the next game, Hurrion held his serve and got a break at 6–5, thus winning the third set 7–5. The match, which lasted almost three hours, kept the crowd in suspense until the end. The weather was favorable for the Wasa Open, which is being held for the fourth time, and all games were played in Vaasa Sportpark in good conditions.
